Product Description

Well, this is supposed to be a warning to errant fathers and the gold-digging blondes who chase them, but for my money the little boy, Dickie Moore, steals the show in a 'Dennis the Menace' fashion. He is just too cute, and too natural as a child actor to ignore. He was nine years old when he made this movie, but he was already a seasoned actor. His first acting job was when he was 18 months old in the John Barrymore - Marceline Day 1927 silent adventure The Beloved Rogue, and he continued in movies and television, acting for the last time in the 1957 television series Omnibus, at the age of 32 with 107 films to his credit. The first girl he kissed as a young boy was Shirley Temple in the 1942 movie, "Miss Annie Rooney," and he remembers being shy about it, and how Shirley Temple exclaimed that it was certainly not her first kiss - it was her second kiss - Shirley Temple's first on screen kiss happened in the outrageous comedy short War Babies in 1932! As I write this John Richard Moore Jr. is 87 years young and still going strong. Pop a big bowl of white kernel popcorn with lots of warm melted butter on it and enjoy the show.
