BOSTON BLACKIE TV SERIES - starring Kent Taylor. Based on the popular movie series starring Chester Morris soon became a popular TV series. Boston Blackie, played by Kent Tayor, was the hero of more than a dozen 1940's B movies, and the lead protagonist in this memorable TV show that aired in syndication from 1951 until 1953. He was the enemy of those who made him an enemy, friend of those who had no friend. Blackie was a reformed crook living in Los Angeles. Aided by his assistant and galpal Mary Wesley, played by Lois Collier, and his dog Whitey he regularly solved mystery crimes several steps ahead of the local police. Frank Orth played Inspector Faraday, Blackie's conduit with the LAPD. Almost every episode ends in a fast paced chase scene where Blackie races to catch the bad guy. This set will please all mystery fans.
